Tischgesellschaft “Vom Hörensagen”, 14.09.2024, Kampnagel Hamburg

Under the label “Tischgesellschaften”, Antje Pfundtner and Anne Kersting founded an artistic gathering initiative in 2018 to share ideas, knowledge and resources and invited both artists and audiences across Germany to discuss the increasingly urgent question that affects far more than just art: How do we share ideas, money and stage? Since then, the Tischgesellschaften have served as a nationwide exchange of artistic, structural and economic ideas on sharing practices, with the aim of promoting the sustainable positioning and involvement of artists in cultural policy and discussing best-practice models of resource sharing with and for the public.

We never tire of the question of sharing and are organizing our last (publicly funded) Tischgesellschaft on Saturday, September 14.

How does sharing inspire us when we look at it from the perspective of generosity? What is needed, where is it burning, what ideas can we pool together in order to spread them further at the same time? Our Tischgesellschaft “Vom Hörensagen” now invites all those who are interested in practices of generous utilization, sharing, redistribution and waste to think and experience sharing differently in and through various interventions and formats: Steps and touches will be passed on, money will be printed and we dare to look into the future …

And, to be a little more specific, we would like to share all of this with you on this day in and through various workshops and activities:

Dancer and choreographer Matthew Rogers will be generously handing out massages to those present.
Dresden filmmaker Barbara Lubich will present another part of her portrait series “Letzte Schritte”, which she filmed together with Antje Pfundtner, this time with members of the Berlin dance ensemble DANCE ON – Antje Pfundtner will then pass on some of these last steps to the participants of the Tischgesellschaft.
Isaac Gordon and Obed Owusu from the musical leadership team of the CHOIR OF THE UNCIVILIZED VOICES, an intergenerational choir for people who are marked as different and marginalized in this society, will sing together with us.
Dr. Janosch Schobin, a sociologist specializing in the sociology of friendship, will raise the question of friendship as a community of responsibility. Alexandra Manske, also a sociologist and associated researcher at the University of Hamburg with a research focus on the transformation of work and society, in particular the sociology of cultural and creative work, will reflect with us on work practices of sharing.
The open Hamburg collective geheimagentur will bring along the money printing machine from their project “Kohle für alle!” and consider on the spot which of us could make good use of “new money”.

And for the audience of the Theaternacht, which takes place all over Hamburg on the same evening, we will open our doors for an hour at 8 p.m.: magic will be performed and compliments will be handed out. Hamburg magician and entertainer Manuel Muerte will dig deep into his bag of tricks and illustrator Lena Hällmayer and copywriter Doreen Grahl will put a smile on everyone’s face with their Kompliment-O-mat. We look forward to seeing you – and hey, you look great tonight!
